WATCH: Police vehicle left lying on its side after a crash at busy Alberton intersection

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, and no injuries have been confirmed.

An accident occurred on the morning of November 14 at the corner of Heidelberg and Epsom roads in Alberton, leaving a police van lying on its side after the collision.

When the Alberton Record arrived on the scene, emergency services were directing traffic through the busy intersection.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear; however, it appears that a white Ford bakkie collided with the police van attached to Sophiatown SAPS.

No injuries have been reported at this stage.
