Former Brackenhurst learner donates new school shoes to empower future pupils
A former Brackenhurst Primary learner, now a rising youth leader and finalist in a prestigious pageantry competition, has donated boxes of new school shoes to support learners in need.
Inothando Mphithi, a former Brackenhurst Primary School learner and now a finalist in one of the country’s prestigious pageantry competitions, returned to her roots this week with a heartfelt gesture that left staff and learners inspired.
Also a former learner at Hoërskool Dinamika and currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education degree, Mphithi donated several boxes of brand-new school shoes to Brackenhurst Primary, ensuring that prospective learners in need will have access to proper footwear as they pursue their education.
Her act of generosity is deeply connected to her journey as the founder of the Liberal Hearts Foundation, established in 2020.
Through the foundation, she focuses on community upliftment, charity outreaches, and youth empowerment initiatives that encourage young people to realise their full potential.
“My God-given purpose, passion and personal calling is to reach out and help the less fortunate,” Mphithi shared.
The school extended its gratitude for her meaningful contribution and expressed pride in seeing a former learner making such a positive impact.
They also wished her the very best as she prepares to represent Alberton at the pageant finals on December 14.
