De Little Stars’ combines Father’s Day and occupational dress-up celebration

De Little Stars Preschool and Aftercare is inviting fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures to join learners for a unique celebration, where children will dress up as their dream professions while honouring the important role fathers play in shaping their futures.

Little Stars Preschool and Aftercare is set to host a heartwarming combined Father’s Day and Occupational Dress-Up Day celebration on June 19, bringing families together for a morning dedicated to appreciation, inspiration, and learning.

The event, which will run from 08:00 to 09:00, encourages learners to come dressed as the profession they hope to pursue when they grow up, from doctors and firefighters to chefs, police officers and other careers that spark their imagination.

At the same time, fathers, grandfathers, uncles and father figures have been invited to attend in their work uniforms or professional attire and share a little about what they do, giving children a firsthand look at the many career paths available to them.

Lenda Sibanyoni Muzei, the principal, hopes the initiative will not only celebrate the invaluable role fathers play in their children’s lives but also inspire young learners to dream big and explore their future ambitions.

The programme will provide opportunities for children to introduce their chosen careers, interact with visiting father figures and pose for memorable photographs, creating lasting keepsakes from the occasion.

With the theme My Dad, My Hero, the celebration aims to recognise the positive influence of fathers and mentors while encouraging children to look confidently toward the future.

By combining Father’s Day festivities with career exploration, De Little Stars hopes to create a meaningful experience that reminds every child that, with guidance and encouragement, their dreams can become reality.
