Hoërskool Marais Viljoen finally unveiled its Astro hockey pitch when a debut match took place to open it.

“It is a special way to start a new era for Marais Viljoen’s hockey. Our first hockey team and other hockey teams played their first games at our school’s new Astro field this weekend, dedicating the field with a meaningful gesture. We look forward to many matches on this new field,” said the school’s statement.

The hockey players lined up in a guard of honour while learners watched Krause, the captains, and the players walk through it.
