Martial artists shine at Gauteng champs

Dedication and discipline paid off for Alberton’s martial artists when they delivered outstanding performances at the Gauteng Provincial Championships.

Eight Alberton Martial Arts and Fitness club students showcased their skills at the South African Korean Martial Arts Association (SAKMAA) Gauteng Provincial Championships in Pretoria on March 8.

Seven students won their respective divisions, earning the title of Gauteng champions.

Their performances secured them places at the upcoming SAKMAA National Championships later this year, where they will compete against top martial artists from across SA.

The students who competed:

Jeandre van Jaarsveld, Tatum Fourie, senseis Andre van Jaarsveld and De Wet le Roux, Jared Charles, Marilse Smit Amelia Charles, Declan Paulsen and Jayden Wietz
