Eden Park Boxing Club chairperson believes fighters are ready for the Pretoria championships
Eden Park Boxing Club chairman, Sydney Kok, is confident that his boys will put up forceful fights at the championships scheduled for for July in Pretoria.
Fighters from the Eden Park Boxing Club have, for the past six months, been preparing for a boxing championship in Pretoria from July 1 to 6.
Speaking to the Alberton Record, club chairperson Sydney Kok said: “The boys have already left for Pretoria.
The organisers of the boxing championships are housing the fighters at a camp specifically designated for participating boxers. “Our fighters at the Eden Park Boxing Club have worked hard for the past six months, and I think this is a good time for them to prove who the best boxers in South Africa are.”
The boxers had their final team training session in Springs and were ready to take on the best fighters from all nine provinces at the South African Championships.
Eden Park’s Ruwayden Olifant, Anhati Khonzani, and Theo Fourie held joint training sessions to prepare for the Pretoria championships.
“I wish my boys and all the fighters the best of luck with the championships,” said Kok.
