Plato Plaas Toe (PPT) runners are back on the road this year. The runners from Meyersdal, in Alberton, are fresh from the festive season and say they had a successful week one on the road.

Commenting on week one, PPT’s Colin Hugo said: “Well done on completing week one. Consistency is the whole point of this challenge. If you can do 5km, you can do 6km; next week will be a breeze.

Stay active, and you’ll smash it. Proud of everyone who showed up today, whether it felt easy or hard. We build from here, together!”

Some runners said the 5km run felt tough at first, but they were encouraged by the fact that they managed to cross the finish line.
