The club recognised a season of hard work, teamwork and personal growth, highlighting the contributions of players, coaches, parents and volunteers beyond the scoreboard.
Alberton Junior Rugby Club celebrated a memorable 2026 season by recognising the achievements, growth and dedication of its young players at its annual prize-giving.
The season was marked by hard work, determination, challenges, friendships and, above all, a shared love for rugby.
Looking back on the months of training and matches, the club reflected on how every tackle, try, victory and defeat had helped shape its young players, both on and off the field.
Beyond the scoreboard
“Every player matters, every effort counts and every small improvement is worth celebrating,” the club emphasised in its message congratulating the players on their efforts throughout the season.
While award winners received recognition for their dedication and perseverance, the club highlighted that success extended beyond trophies and medals.
Commitment to training, support for teammates, and a willingness to learn were equally important parts of the journey.
Developing life skills
The club also celebrated rugby’s role in developing valuable life skills, including discipline, respect, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.
“Your attitude, effort and character will take you further than talent alone ever could,” the club encouraged its young players, urging them to keep learning, working hard and believing in themselves.
A community effort
Coaches were thanked for their time, patience and commitment to helping the children reach their potential, while parents and families were recognised for their early mornings, match-day sacrifices and sideline encouragement.
Management, volunteers and supporters also received appreciation for their contributions to the club and the community it has built around a shared passion for the game.
As Alberton Junior Rugby Club looked ahead to the next season, its message was one of unity and continued ambition. The club encouraged every young player to remain humble in success, learn from setbacks, respect teammates and take pride in representing the Alberton badge.
The celebration reminded everyone that the club’s achievements were measured not only by results, but also by the friendships formed, confidence gained, and character developed throughout the season.
With its focus firmly on the future, Alberton Junior Rugby Club summed up its spirit in this phrase: ‘One club. One team. One family.’
