Local choirs invited to participate in Christmas Inter-faith Cantata
The production is spiritual in tone and directed to people of all faiths.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is preparing to present an Inter-faith Cantata from November 21 to 24 entitled “Jesus Once of Humble Birth”, a musical celebration of the life and divine mission of Jesus Christ.
The production is spiritual in tone and directed not only at Christians of all denominations seeking confirmation of their faith in Christ, but also to people of all faiths and persuasions interested in the meaning of the life of Jesus Christ.
The Church is seeking participation from other choirs, and the musically inclined, irrespective of denominational affiliation. Individual people who are able to sing parts (soprano, alto, tenor or bass), or who can conduct music or play the piano are welcomed and invited to join the practices and preparations for the presentation. Organized choirs will be welcomed and may assist with opening further venues to present the production.
Practices will take place at Bedfordview Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 115 Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview on Sunday afternoons from 15:30 to 17:30, which will commence in September.
