Win Movie Tickets with Nu Metro: Angry Birds

The movie takes us to Bird Island, which is populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely.

THE Angry Birds Movie, based on the popular “Angry Birds” video game, started showing in 3D at Nu Metro The Glen on Friday, May 13. This animated adventure promises to take cinemagoers to a fantasy world like no other – featuring over-the-top animated characters delivering a comedy onslaught guaranteed to lift any bad mood.

The movie takes us to Bird Island, which is populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. They treasure eggs above all else, and are all carefree and easy-going, except for few…

One of these birds is Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), a societal outcast who has had anger issues from the very beginning. Eventually, his outbursts become too much and he is sentenced to anger management courses, where he meets other misfit birds with similar problems: Chuck, a speed demon, and Bomb, the volatile, short-fused one, have also always been outsiders in this happy-go-lucky paradise.

But, when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what those pigs are really up to.

If you are a fan of the video game or just looking for a fun night out at the cinema, then The Angry Birds Movie is made for you.
