Making a career choice has always been a daunting task for secondary school pupils.
But this has been made easy by the Nedbank My Future, My Career programme launched five years ago and designed to help pupils make the right and informed career choices.
Pupils from Alexandra joined thousands of their counterparts nationwide as part of this programme to watch features on careers. These career features were held in conjunction with SterKinekor Cinemas countrywide and were described by managing director of Primestars Marketing, Martin Sweet as “a resounding success as it exceeded our expectations and helped many pupils to make the transition from schooling to the field of work”.
Albert Zitha, a graduate of the programme spoke to pupils at a screening in Sandton. “I came here two years ago and listened and watched the movie just like you and walked out of the cinema with a made-up mind on my future career,” said Zitha. “I hope and trust you too can do the same.”
