Abusive husband violates protection order and beats up wife
ALEXANDRA - An abusive husband has been arrested for allegedly violating a protection order granted to his wife.
An abusive husband has been arrested for allegedly violating a protection order granted to his wife.
He is said to have beaten up his 30-year-old wife for obtaining the protection order. The wife said she was at home with her husband when he questioned her about the necessity to obtain a protection order against him.
An argument ensued and the husband is said to have slapped his wife several times in the face. As a result of the beating, the woman’s eye was swollen and she had to be treated at the Alex Clinic.
The woman later opened a case against her husband, who was arrested by the police in connection with a case of violating a protection order. He will appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court.
