Call to attend Alpoa meeting

ALEXANDRA - A follow-up meeting on outstanding issues has been scheduled for 27 September by the Alexandra Land and Property Owners Association (Alpoa).

The Alexandra Land and Property Owners Association (Alpoa) has scheduled a follow-up meeting on outstanding issues for 27 September.

The meeting will take place at the old Roman Catholic Church school hall on 2nd Avenue beginning at 9am, said Alpoa secretary general, Jacky Segopa. He said the meeting will address issues that were raised by members in the previous meeting on 30 August.

Segopa said there were a number of issues which members raised, and Alpoa promised to look into them and find answers for the affected members. These included a government proposal to offer some claimants the option of land restoration on serviced land in Marlboro, Lombardy, Linbro Park, Waterval and Carstenhof.

“This is but one of the outstanding issues that we will be addressing during this meeting, including updating members on the progress of the restoration process for those members whose claims have been approved,” Segopa said in his appeal for members to come to the meeting.
