The suspect, allegedly involved in a house robbery incident in Atholl, was arrested following a high-speed chase and shootout between the police and three other suspects.
According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley police, the suspect is set to make his appearance in court next week.
“The suspect will appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 8 October on a bail application hearing,” he said.
He added that the other three suspects, also allegedly involved in the house robbery and subsequent shootout, were still at large and police are still investigating the case.
