ALEXANDRA - A man has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for robbery with aggravated circumstances.

A man has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for robbery with aggravated circumstances.

Martin Mokgabudi (43) was sentenced by the Alex Magistrates’ Court for hijacking a white Isuzu bakkie in Pretoria and stealing the driver of the vehicle’s personal items.

The court heard that the incident happened last August at the corner of Old Pretoria Road and Arkwright Avenue, Wynberg. Mokgadi and an accomplice were said to have pointed a gun at the victim before stealing his car worth R200 000, his cellphone and other belongings which have not been recovered.

His accomplice is still at large.
