High school pupils and school leavers from Alexandra are expected to join the Student Expo to learn more about careers available to them.
The expo will be held at the Greenstone Mall, which is a stone’s throw away from Alexandra, from 23 to 25 July. The Student Expo is said to be the only exhibition in South Africa that focuses on providing current and future students with all the tools they need to thrive in their future careers.
It is aimed at inspiring, educating and empowering tomorrow’s leaders to take up careers that will shape their future and ensure their active participation and contribution to the country’s economy.
Grade 11 and 12 pupils from various schools in Johannesburg are invited to attend what is sure to be the most informative event to date on careers and after school professional life, said Student Expo organiser Lizz Howard.
Last year’s event saw the attendance of leading international institutions from America, Germany, Russia and Botswana, along with thousands of students from state and private schools.
The line-up for this year’s expo talks includes universities, the agricultural sector, the hospitality industries, décor and design, technical and engineering studies.
Others include bookkeeping, secretarial, accountancy, business, law and economics, health sciences, medical, nursing, sport and fitness studies, plumbing, welding, carpentry and electrical studies, computer and project management studies, media, journalism, event management and wedding planning, and many more.
Students attending the expo will have the opportunity to meet influential leaders from across a variety of industries, as well as viewing presentations from universities and companies throughout the country.
