Happy Sole Cres residents thanks to new fence

ALEXANDRA – City council finally acts on residents' security concerns.

Written pleas and calls for security by residents of Sole Crescent, Phase 3, Alex have finally been answered five years after their first request was heard by the city council.

Residents lived in fear from vagrants and criminals who occasionally occupied an unprotected space around a power substation next to their homes. The area is now protected with a palisade fence.

In previous reports published by Alex News, the residents said the metal boxes containing live wire were sometimes left open by the vagrants and council employees, endangering their children, and stolen motor vehicles and properties were temporarily stored onsite.

In the article, Residents angry with city council, published 23 August, police arrested a suspect next to a reported stolen motor vehicle at the location.
