City Power dismisses rumours of strike that are circulating on social media
JOBURG – City Power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena, said the workers are committed to their work.
The City of Johannesburg has refuted allegations that City Power prepaid workers will soon embark on a strike.
The rumours of the strike have been circulating on social media.
City Power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena, said the workers are committed to their work.
“All City Power workers are currently on duty and committed to work, continuously disproving these rumours as untrue and a complete hoax.
“Both day and night shifts will have enough personnel to provide electricity services to all City Power customers throughout the City of Johannesburg,” said Mangena.
City Power has assured its customers that prepaid electricity will continue to be available at all vending points, these include:
- Easy Pay outlets such as Pick & Pay and Shoprite Checkers supermarkets
- Internet and cellphone devices
- ATM’s
- SA Post Offices etc.
