Police are on the tail of a man who allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl next to her relatives’ home in Alexandra.
Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the suspect committed the offence at his place after luring the victim who had visited her relatives. “His arrest is imminent,” Malatji said.
He added that the suspect allegedly raped her on two previous visits. “A neighbour apparently saw the incidents but was uncertain until the recent one when she told the child’s relatives of her suspicion.
“When asked, the child confessed about the previous incidents.”
