Make 2020 your best health year

JOBURG – Let 2020 be the year you finally achieve your health and fitness goals.

Keeping fit and healthy is one of the most common new year’s resolutions and this year is no different. To help you stick to this year’s resolution, Emer-G-Med has provided some tips to help you make your health and fitness resolution a success.

  • Make an appointment for an annual health check-up. This can include urine, blood weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, hearing and eyesight tests. Early testing can result in early treatment.
  • Schedule annual breast, prostate or pap smear examinations especially if you have family members that have had medical problems in these areas or if you are over 40.
  • Schedule dental appointments in advance.
  • Exercise three or four times a week.
  • Take the stairs and park further in parking areas to get you active
  • Try to reduce smoking and drinking and watch your diet, including salt and calorie intake
  • Remember to stay hydrated and always have water on hand
  • Be kind to your mind, rest, get enough sleep, spend time in the sun, keep good company and do the things that make you happy.
