Need a rates payment arrangement due to current financial difficulties?

City of Johannesburg (COJ) commercial customers who may be experiencing financial difficulties and cannot pay their rates may require a payment arrangement.

According to a communication by the City, the payment arrangement is available to business or commercial account holders.

You are required to provide the following documentation:

• Proxy letter on a company letter head
• Latest financial audited statements (three years)
• Latest bank statements (six months)
• Certified copy of ID of specific persons who have the authority to sign on behalf of the company
• Proof of five per cent deposit or down-payment, if not afforded, provide supporting documents.

You can request a payment arrangement by emailing creditcontrol@joburg.org.za or by visiting any of the City of Johannesburg revenue customer service centres currently in operation.
