Police assist vulnerable Marlboro residents

A recent food parcel initiative led by Johannesburg Metro Police Department officers provided 21 vulnerable people with basic food essentials.

Superintendent Nokuthula Pako – together with officers from Sandton Speed, Tracing, the Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre (IIOC) and the Rea Vaya units – donated food parcels to those in need in Marlboro.

According to Pako, the initiative aimed at helping mothers who are unemployed and grandparents living with more than one child. “We work in these communities, we know their struggles and we want to show them that we feel their pain,” she said.

“Beyond a badge or a uniform, we are all people, united by one thing ? a human bond. Through these moments, good and bad, we stand together.”
