60 000 burgers feed the hungry

ALEX – Every day, 2 000 burgers reached the most vulnerable of society.

Together with their NGO partner SA Harvest, McDonald’s ensured that, in May, 2 000 burgers reached the most vulnerable of society every day.

Londani Lushaka in Alexandra was one of the charity organisations that benefited from McDonald’s South Africa’s donation of 60 000 burgers that fed the most vulnerable people during the month of May.

Every day, 2 000 burgers reached the most vulnerable of society. McDonald’s worked through their NGO partner SA Harvest, which, in turn, has a widespread network of charity organisations to which it delivered the 2 000 burgers every day to.

The burger deliveries were done through the supplier partners, Libstar, Dewcrisp, Detpak, Uber Eats and Wakanda, who helped in bringing the commitment to life, said McDonald’s CEO Greg Solomon.
