An Alexandra resident was robbed at gunpoint on 7 August at about 12pm on 4th Avenue.
Alexandra spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha confirmed that the victim was a man who was approached by two unknown men when the victim was fixing a fridge at a local shop. “One suspect pointed a firearm at him and demanded his cell phone and took it. No arrests have been made yet,” he said.
An armed robbery case has been opened for further investigation.
