Ward 101 councillor looks forward to 2021
BOSKRUIN – Ward 101 councillor Dalu Cele has reflected on some of the highlights and lowlights of 2020 in his festive season message to Ward 101 residents.
He writes:
The year 2020 has been a tough and challenging year for all of us in South Africa due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Notwithstanding that the country has moved to level one of the lockdowns, however, the Covid-19 pandemic is with us for the foreseeable future.
The highlights for 2021 has been the generosity of the BAPS Charities, that supported families that were facing food insecurity our ward during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The lowlights have been the extended power outages during the Eskom load shedding that affected Bromhof and parts of Boskruin.
Residents of Ward 101 should look forward to the completion of the upgrades at the Golden Harvest Park as well as the water pipe replacement project in Sonneglans in 2021.
As we reflect on the year that has passed, we should also remember those that have lost their loved ones during this pandemic.
I wish the residents of Ward 101 a safe festive season with loved ones, peace and prosperity in 2021.
