King personally guards his palace
ALEXANDRA – An Alex 'King' has personally taken over the responsibility of guarding his palace.
Regular break-ins at the ‘palace’ have forced His Majesty the King to personally guard his castle against menacing thieves.
“We were delighted to have His Majesty personally taking over the responsibility of guarding the palace when he told us, and we wished him the best in this new role,” said Lunga Ncube when she introduced the Alex News team to His Majesty the King.

His Majesty even leapt forward and extended a greeting ‘hand’ to the visitors at the palace but promptly left the scene for his guarding post to perform his duties and to watch over the team as his VIP visitors.

The King first arrived at his new palace in June 2019 and Ncube, who is the manager of the ‘palace’, said his performance on guard duties so far has been exquisite and no break-ins have occurred since he personally took over. Ncube said His Majesty arrived at the new palace two years and six months ago from the Sandton SPCA in Marlboro.

His Majesty is a pit bull-mixed breed and Ncube described him as ‘well-mannered’ and that he loves his more than 70 young subjects at the Boitumelong Early Learning Centre.

“We decided to seek the services of His Majesty on guard duties as we were experiencing numerous break-ins at the centre. Since his arrival, we have experienced no break-ins at all so far,” said Ncube who is also the founder of the centre.
