Belated Alex pageant’s Teen Queen crowned
ALEXANDRA -– Registrations have since opened for Miss Alexandra Teen 2021 pageant which takes place in March next year.

The Black Rose Academy finally hosted its belated Miss Alexandra Teen 2020 beauty pageant that was postponed due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 global pandemic last year.
Siphesihle Cele (16) was crowned Miss Alexandra Teen Queen 2020 and Kutlwano Magoro was 1st Princess while Lerato Mamotheti was 2nd Princess. Mapaseka Manyama (18) won the Miss Popularity 2020.
Academy CEO Marks Bernards said as indicated earlier in press releases, the 2020 pageant was held this year while the 2021 edition will be held in March next year.
“We would like to convey our gratitude to the support we got from the parents of the contestants, including our fans, the community of Alexandra, for their unwavering support.

“We are now back and want to make sure that we create a healthy spirit of competition among our teenagers and give them opportunities to realise their dreams.
“As one of the highly impoverished townships in the country, we are experiencing large numbers of teenage dropouts from school who then participate in criminal and other anti-social activities,” Bernards said.
Bernards assured the community his organisation would work together with other community organisations to ensure that all anti-social activities were eliminated from the community.
“We are going to work hand in hand with schools and other community organisations, including the police to put an end to this. We want to ensure our kids are in class during school hours, no more milling around street corners and smoking whatever.”
He said registrations have opened for the Miss Alexandra Teen 2021 pageant.
