Alex makeover project to be seated in posh Sandton offices
ALEXANDRA – The office space will go a long way in keeping the lines of communication open and functioning optimally, says Ruele.
Posh offices in the heart of the leafy surbub of Sandton await members of the We Love Alexandra Community Makeover Project.
This follows an offer of office space at Sandton City Office Towers to enable the project’s staff to do their business in a work-friendly environment with the availability of Wi-Fi and other logistical requirements.
This was announced by the vice-president of the makeover project, Lawrence Ruele during a wide ranging interview with Alex News from the Alex home of philanthropist and president of the project, Linda Twala.
Ruele said the offer of office space came from Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square, with both institutions promising to also provide the requisite furniture and equipment needed for an office to function smoothly.
“We are hoping to occupy the offices as soon as we can, while we sort out the issues around transport for those who will be commuting to and from Alex and Sandton.
“The offer of office space will also help the job-seeking youth who volunteer on the makeover project with free Wi-Fi to possibly connect them with potential employers and other range of activities, including possible business partnerships,” Ruele said.
Ruele highlighted the complexity of the work of the makeover project, saying that it demanded a lot of communication, not just among the board members running the show, but also with various stakeholders. This, he added, tended to eat deep into the meagre resources at the disposal of the project’s members.
With this donation of office space, furniture and equipment, Ruele said it would go a long way in keeping the lines of communication open and functioning optimally.
