On April 29, it was reported that Alex SAPS went to rescue a man in a mob justice situation at 163 East Bank Drive.
On arrival the police found him with head injuries and tied with an electric cable around the neck. It is alleged that the man was hit by the mob.
Alex Police Station Commander Brigadier Lindiwe Magudulela said, “An ambulance was called and he was taken to Masakhane Clinic where he was certified dead.
“The deceased was wearing a green jacket, red T-shirt, and blue jeans, his residential address and next of kin are still unknown.”
She added that no arrests have been made.
