Rand Water pipeline maintenance to cause water interruption in Alex and Sandton
The scheduled tie-in is for the newly constructed B6 pipeline which has been constructed to augment a portion of the existing B6 pipeline.
Rand Water has scheduled the planned maintenance of its B6 pipeline from August 19 to 23.
According to a Rand Water media statement, the execution of the project will start from 17:00 on Friday, August 19, and be completed on August 23 at 8:30. The project will take more than 87,5 hours to complete.
The following areas under Joburg Water will be affected:
• Sandton
• Alexandra
• President Park
• Halfway House
• Klipfonteinview
• Southills
• Lynn Meyer
• Diepsloot
• North Western areas.
Rand Water urges residences in the affected areas to fill their reservoirs before the maintenance work commences and reduce water consumption.
