No power on February 3 in Alex and surrounds

City Power have issued a public announcement alerting community members of a planned maintenance interruption of power on the third day of February.

City Power has issued a public announcement alerting customers to a planned power interruption at Alexandra substations on February 3 from 08:00 to 16:00.
The suburbs which will be affected by the outage are as follows:

Far East Bank; Far East Bank extensions 1, 2, 6, 7; Lombardy East; Lombardy West; Marlboro; Wynberg; Kew and Bramley View extension 6. City Power conveyed its regret over any inconveniences that will be caused by the interruption.

“The interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network, which is part of our programme of constantly striving to provide a better service,” said City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena.
