Local historian Thabo Mopasi recalled a stroll taken together with the Iron Duke of South African football at Alex Mall, where he said he had the privilege of being Khoza’s tour guide for the day.

“We marvelled at the vibrant pictures in the mall, and took in the breathtaking views of the Sandton skyline,” Mopasi reminisced. “But what struck me most was Bra Irvin’s infectious laughter and his unbridled pride in Alexandra township. We celebrate his life, his legacy, and his unrelenting passion for Alexandra township on his birthday and we honour Bra Irvin’s unwavering dedication and unshakeable optimism to his community.”
