Joburg Water repairs burst pipe on London Road, work to be fully completed before end of March
This follows an incident in February when a vehicle collided with the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) chamber, leading to the pipe burst.
Joburg Water is pleased to report that the burst pipe on London Road, between Eighth and Seventh Avenues has been repaired.

The agency anticipates that the comprehensive repairs to the PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) chamber will be finalised before the end of March.

The incident that led to the pipe burst was when a vehicle collided with the PRV chamber in February, causing bricks and a concrete slab to fall onto the water line and the PRV inside the chamber.

Joburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala said, “The pipe has been repaired, and we expect the repairs to the chamber to be completed by March 21.”
