MC DJ rocks the airwaves back on Alex radio

After leaving radio for a while, and becoming an avid MC, Comfort Molefe is back, this time on Alex FM, and planning to make Friday nights unforgettable.

Comfort ‘Mol’ Molefe has set his eyes on the horizon, as he undertakes his new radio presenting role. With his bubbly personality and master of ceremonies (MC) experience, he is set to rock the airwaves, giving Alexandra residents a joyous ride into the weekend.

Three years ago, after a string of bad experiences, Molefe almost decided to leave the radio industry, setting his aspirations of becoming the best radio host in the country aside. However, instead of quitting, he poured his energy into excelling as a MC.
“To be honest with you,” he recalled, “I felt like giving up on radio. That is why I was pushing a lot of MCing, because I had a lot of bad experiences when it comes to radio.”

As a speaker, and a king of his craft, he set his kingdom there, impacting people’s lives in the best way he knew possible. He commanded audiences at star-studded award ceremonies, pageants, and bouquet-filled weddings.

He said MCing was rewarding. “Through me speaking and doing what I love, I get to change people’s lives, inspire people, and make someone’s dreams come true. I have hosted a lot of pageants and a lot of shows where I got to see people’s dreams come true.”

Although he was excelling as an MC, he still had a burning passion for radio presenting, so, he kept on sending his demos. He says the universe responded last year after he sent his to demo Alex FM. He got a callback, an audition, and what would be a defining yes. “I believe that it is divine timing, because I have been trying to get onto Alex FM since 2019. I have been sending demos, and it was only last year, that they called back, stating that my demo was successful and they would love to have me on board.”

Molefe now takes pride in rocking the 21:00–00:00 slot on Fridays, and winding up the weekend with ‘The LIT’, a show that is intended to make listeners feel alive. “I want to create a space where every listener gets to unwind. We really want to make sure that we create a vibe and a world where listeners feel alive. I expect some good vibes and unforgettable moments from the show.”

By merging the world of MCing and radio, Molefe says he plans to be the best in the country. He adds that he hopes to take his new role to the next level and, most importantly, to engage with the community.
