Balfour FC seeks new players for its divisional teams
The Balfour Football Club, which is based just behind the Balfour Mall, is looking for both boys and girls soccer players to beef up its various age divisions for the up coming 2023 football season.
Balfour FC, which is a feeder club for the Highlands Park Academy that plies its soccer trade in the Gauteng Development League, is looking for new players to beef up its divisional teams.
This was confirmed by Balfour FC manager Chantal Waisman who told Alex News the club was back and much stronger than before. She added it was a mission to recruit new players, boys and girls, of all skill levels to beef up its divisional sides in the U6, U9, U10, U11, U13 and U15 divisions.
Waisman said the new players would be trained in skills, ball techniques and footwork exercises and would also play regular matches against their peers under the guidance of the club’s Caf-licenced coaches.

As the players are being developed, Waisman said the most talented would be selected and passed on for further development to the Highlands Park Academy which plays in the Gauteng Development League together with development sides from big clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.
Waisman said the club, which has just come out of a successful 2022, was looking forward to a bumper year in 2023. “We’re growing fast and we are proud of our league and cup winners in the various age groups in 2022.”
The U6 to U10 divisions practise on Mondays and Wednesdays while the U11 to U15 attend practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all from 16:45 to 18:30.
