Thabo Malebjoe returns as technical director of Alex Northrand Local Football Association
Alex Northrand LFA secretary general Malvin Khumalo has welcomed Thabo Malebjoe back into the fold and described him as bringing a wealth of coaching expertise.
One of the best coaching minds in Alexandra, Thabo Malebjoe, a former Top Dogz coach, has returned to the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association (LFA) as technical director.
Malebjoe’s appointment was effective as of August 30 and he will serve for 12 months with an option to renew his contract. His appointment marks his second stint as the technical director of the country’s oldest local football association.

Announcing Malebjoe’s appointment, the Alex Northrand LFA secretary general, Malvin Khumalo, welcomed him back as a man who brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role, having previously served the LFA in this capacity.
“His familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in our football community makes him a perfect fit to lead the technical aspects of our association, helping to build stronger coaching frameworks and player development pathways.”

In his role as the technical director, Malebjoe’s primary responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing the development and implementation of technical training programmes for coaches and players across the Alex Northrand LFA,
• Leading coaching education by organising and delivering courses and workshops to improve coaching standards,
• Developing player development pathways, identifying and nurturing talent from grassroots to senior levels,
• Offering expert technical advice on all matters related to coaching, player development, and football standards,
• Actively contributing to the long-term strategic planning of the Alex Northrand LFA, ensuring that technical development remains a core focus, and
• Promoting community involvement and fostering an inclusive environment within the football community.
“We are confident in Malebjoe’s leadership. His technical expertise in football development in Alexandra will advance our game to new heights, benefiting both players and coaches alike.
