The NEWS has received information that the driver of the taxi involved in a head on collision yesterday was breathalyzed at the scene.

A school girl (13) was killed in the crash and five other children were injured.

According to Mrs Linda McKenzie chairperson for the Edenvale Community Police Forum (ECPF), the taxi driver involved in yesterday’s accident was breathalyzed at the scene shortly after the crash.

He was then taken to a nearby hospital where further blood tests were completed.
