Wasps club hosts tournament
The Wasps Rubgy club held a tournament consisting of the Alberton Wasps and teams from the Harlequins in Pretoria, Krugersdorp and Randfontein on Saturday, September 23.
The tournament took place at Edenvale High School and included children from the U/8 and U/9 age groups.
“The children played with heart, maintained discipline and displayed courage, resulting in spectacular rugby,” said Mr Brian Smith.
The tournament also featured markets as well as a dunk tank with ice, which children, coaches and parents were dunked in.
The dunk tank was in support of the J9 Foundation.
The Wasps Rugby Club raised R10 000 towards the charity.
