Warm up at the Kensington Spring Fair

Shake off the ice and warm up at the Kensington Spring Fair on September 1.

The fair will take place from 9am to 4pm in Rhodes Park, near the lake.

Entertainment will be provided by a variety of artists. The food stalls will cater for various tastes, ranging from boerewors rolls, mini donuts, Chip and Dip, Indian and Chinese cuisine.

This is a day out for the whole family with diverse stalls from arts and crafts, esoteric, farmers’ and deli stalls.

People who bring dogs are requested to keep them on a leash. Volunteers from the I Love Kensington Association (ILKA) and the community organised the fair and all funds raised are donated to charities in Kensington and the surrounding areas.

The entry fee is R1 per person.

The closing date for application is August 19. More helpers are still needed to work as marshals on the morning of the fair to help vendors find their allocated stalls.

All high school children interested in getting some community service hours are requested to e-mail chair@kensington.org.za to volunteer their services.

Community service certificates will be handed out on the day.
