SHOCKING – Toddler on motorbike taken for a dangerous ride

Parents have taken to various social media platforms to express their disgust at a motorbike rider caught on camera riding recklessly through Edenvale with a young child passenger.

Parents have taken to various social media platforms to express their disgust at a motorcyclist caught on camera riding recklessly through Edenvale with a young child passenger.

The one-and-a half-minute video clip shows the rider speeding through the streets of Edenvale with a young girl as his passenger.

The girl is described as “only wearing a cheap bicycle helmet” can be seen clinging to the man’s t-shirt while he weaves in and out of traffic.

The video uploaded on YouTube yesterday already had over 6 000 views.

Chairperson for the Edenvale Community Police Forum (ECPF), Mrs Linda McKenzie, has slammed the incident and behaviour of the rider.

“We as the ECPF speak out in the strongest terms possible against this type of endangerment of our young children, the devastating consequences were not even considered when this man put that young girl on the back of his bike and drove the way he did,” she said.

She added that the man’s registration as well as the video clip had been handed over to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) for immediate action to be taken.
