LMS teams ready for upcoming season

Sunday's warm-up games saw Dreamkillers pipped by The Cricket Gurus.

The final warm-up games of the Last Man Standing (LMS) Bedfordview cricket league were played on October 6.

The warm-up game kicked off the summer league season for 2013 and 2014, which started on October 11 at the Jeppe Quondam grounds.

Sunday’s warm-up games saw Dreamkillers pipped by The Cricket Gurus. Daredevils overcame the feisty JDK Invaders (the winners of Division 1 last season), while Folltossers were beaten by Deadbeats on the last ball. Wicket Wanebes won against The DP Boys of Thesen Pillay, a newbie-team at LMS Bedfordview, fresh from KwaZulu-Natal.

LMS games will take place at the following venues throughout the season; Jeppe Quondam on Thursday and Friday evenings and all day on Saturdays. Matches will also take place at Elandspark School on Saturdays and Sundays.

Claude Oosthuizen, of LMS Bedfordview, urges enthusiasts to join as a team, player or spectator.

LMS Bedfordview thanked the Jeppe Quondam Club and the Elandspark School for the opportunity to play the league games at their grounds this season.
