Thabo Adonsi was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for house and armed robbery on November 1.

Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, the Jeppe SAPS communications officer, said on October 13, 2012, Mr Gastico Mhlanga, from Jeppestown, and his brother were at home when four men forcefully entered the house.

“One of the suspects pointed a firearm at them. The other men were in possession of knives. They demanded money and took two cellular phones. The suspects took the victims to another room where there were other tenants. The men robbed the tenants of their cellular phones and cash,” said W/O Munyai.

The men fled and a case was opened at the Jeppe SAPS.

The case was investigated by Constable Ndlovu.
