After speaking at the Valediction in 2011, Professor Guidozzi approached the school with a view to contributing to the education of two pupils per year.
Prof Guidozzi matriculated from Jeppe in 1969 after achieving colours for athletics and rugby. He went on to study medicine at the University of Witwatersrand and qualified as a gynaecologist.
Prof Guidozzi is now head of the obstetricians and gynaecological department at Wits and is an international authority in oncology-related gynaecological illnesses.
