Helping Angels thanks the EXPRESS
“We receive weekly bread donations from Bread Basket in Morningside, thanks to Savas, which we drop off at the Avril Elizabeth Home in Primrose. Bradley from Pick n Pay at the Darras Centre has agreed to assist with food parcels for people in need within the local community".
The Helping Angels Organisation thanked the EXPRESS following the positive response it received from the community as a result of an article published.
The article, published earlier this year, highlighted the organisation’s involvement in helping people in need.
“That article generated a huge response from the community,” said Mr Danie Roode, who is part of the organisation.
He said “a few miracles” were made possible through the publication of the article.
“We receive weekly bread donations from Bread Basket in Morningside, thanks to Savas, which we drop off at the Avril Elizabeth Home in Primrose. Bradley from Pick n Pay at the Darras Centre has agreed to assist with food parcels for people in need within the local community,” said Mr Roode.
He said one of the other amazing things was that they have been able to help a 20-year-old young man with no home and no hope. “He is now working for the organisation and has accommodation,” said Mr Roode.
