The man arrested in connection with the murder of a waitress remains in custody.
The EXPRESS previously reported that the body of Ms Natalie Dube (25), a Malvern resident, was found at the Rusty Lady Deli Bistro on July 9, 2013, by a colleague.
Her throat was allegedly cut. She was stabbed and her feet and hands were tied with electrical cords.
Ms Dube was apparently asked by one of the managers to remain behind after work to do stocktaking because she was late. She did so.
Ms Dube’s body was found the next day at the business.
A manager was arrested at a hotel in Edenvale on the same day. At the time of his arrest, he was out on parole for rape according to Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer.
He appeared in court on March 17.
“The case was postponed to May. The suspect remains in custody,” said Const Mashakane.
