Paint your dreams
The Paint & Palette demonstration took place at the Edenvale Community Centre on April 19.
Mr Blessing Ngobeni, a self-taught artist from the Bag Factory Artist Studios displayed his work and his presentation to the members was themed on drawing a dream through the use of mixed media and acrylic paint.
In 2012 Mr Ngobeni was award the Reinhold Cassier Award and in 2013 was featured in the FNB Joburg Art Fair and was announced one of the Top 200 young South Africans by the Mail and Guardian.
Mr Ngobeni described his art as work that is inspired by listening to his dreams. Mr Ngobeni’s work is also influenced by Nguni people through the use of process of patterns and layers with artworks.
The Paint & Palette event also featured displayed works by painter Janice Haug.
