Community encouraged to join bowling club
The Rhodes Park Bowling Club is said to be the club “where it’s at” and people are encouraged to join.
The club celebrates its 81st anniversary this year since it was opened in March 1933 by the mayor of Johannesburg at the time.
It is situated in Rhodes Park. The club has two men’s teams and a women’s team.
The men’s A team is currently ranked in the fifth division and the men’s B team in the seventh division.
The women’s team is in the fourth division. There are 47 bowling members and a group of social members.
Annual club championship competitions recently kicked off and are played regularly on the weekends.
