DA dominates in Edenvale and Bedfordview

Bedfordview and Edenvale residents vote for opposition.

Results of the May 7 elections indicate that despite the ANC’s lead nationally and provincially, local residents put their confidence in the opposition party by voting for the Democratic Alliance. The ANC is currently in the lead in Ekurhuleni, with 55.79 percent, despite the DA getting the most votes at in the Bedfordview and Edenvale voting districts. Although the counting of votes from these voting districts has been finalised, results of the national and provincial elections are still pending as more voting districts are finalised.
