Malvern residents clean up

The clean-up started on Frere Street with residents setting out to complete specific tasks.

Malvern residents took it upon themselves to uplift the community’s living standards as they took part in ‘operation Clean-up Malvern’ on Saturday, May 3.

The clean-up started on Frere Street with residents setting out to complete specific tasks.

“We are hoping to make this an area of excellence and we wish for this project to have a ripple effect throughout our suburb,” said Ms Bernadette Wentzel, who is part of the initiative.

She said the project will be phased throughout Malvern by the We Love Malvern Community Forum, previously known as the Malvern United Community Forum (MUCF).

“During this clean-up operation, block representatives were selected to share our commitment in upgrading Malvern to a place of pride,” said Ms Wentzel. Residents were treated to a braai after the clean-up.
