Malvern’s Try Again FC needed a late goal to secure a win against Bertram’s Italy FC at the Rhodes Park Sports Grounds on May 4.
Try Again FC attacked from the start of the game, spending a lot of time in the opposition’s half, seeking an early goal. Both teams preferred to keep the ball on the ground, displaying a good passing game for the supporters who appreciated the skilful moves. The game turned physical, with supporters constantly disapproving of the referee’s decision each time he blew the whistle for a foul.
Italy FC absorbed a lot pressure, hoping to catch Try Again FC on the counter-attack. They tried a few long balls, which were properly dealt with by the lanky Try Again FC defenders.
It was in the last 10 minutes of the game, when what seemed to be a lapse in concentration by Italy FC, resulted in the only goal of the match.
Try Again FC walked away the winners, with the final score at 1-0. The team continued its great run of form, having won the previous four matches. @JoburgJourno
